Blender begins




I found Blender hard to get my head around and a little difficult to navigate - I lost my outliner once and didn't know how to get it back but I found it in the end! It's going to take some getting used to . . .

UV mapping and texturing







Unfolding the UV's was one of the hardest and most tedious things I have ever done but somehow I managed :)

Texturing was fun though and seeing that whatever I changed in the PSD file update in the maya file was really useful. The texture I used was a crusty bark type texture for the main body and then a nice gradient green to red for the flower on its back - this was inspired by the colouring of cactus flowers.
